On October 7, 2023 the team at PASSION FOR A PURPOSE and The PFAP Foundation suspended all our operations and ongoing projects in order to provide our services to anyone in Israel, and anyone supporting Israel, free of charge. From October to January our team worked around the clock to develop and build - while also managing and operating - an innovative and inspiring fiscal sponsorship program. With the support of, and feedback from, the very same people, places and projects who signed on to the program during those first three months, we were able to produce seemingly unimaginable results. But just as there was nothing imaginary about the events of October 7, except the scope and scale of the atrocties which occured, our committment to meet the challange was only limited by what was imaginable.

Within a matters of weeks, and in the months that followed, IRON ISREAL expanded exponentially. At its height, a team of eight full time volunteers, 50+ projects and over hundred campaigns were operating to support a range of critical needs across Israel, raising a combined $1.5 million+ in 10 months. the outcome of our efforts undountably proved that when foundations listen to and partner with (instead of talk at and preside over) those they support, and when they trust and have faith in those doing the work on the grounf, rather then faithfully trusting only they are grounded enough to do the work, the possibilities for impacy are as limiltless as they are lasting.

IRON ISRAEL remains our proud contribution to the fight for the future of Israel, and the security of the Jewish people. Although the IRON ISRAEL fiscal sponsorship program ended in October 2024, its lasting impact continues to resonate through the dozens of causes we incubated, established or supported, the tens of thoussands of Israelis impacted by this work, and the successful evolution of the IRON ISRAEL program into The PFAP Foundation's broad based fiscal sponsorship program, exclusive online community engagement platform, and the dozens of new services and solutions The PFAP Foundation now offers as a result of this expereine. And its legacy continues to make a critical fiscal impact through the IRON ISRAEL FUND, established in November of 2023, which seeks to radically change how we give to those in need, and more broadly, the need to radically change giving through amplifying impact communities, innovating micro-grant making procedures, and developing rapid distributive processes wherein the goals is always releasing not restricting the flow of critical funds.
